  • The Kestrel Minds Matter Club at Kamiak Elementary is a student-led group focused on promoting mental wellness, kindness, and connection throughout our school community. Through fun activities, thoughtful discussions, and awareness campaigns, the club helps students learn how to care for their own mental health and support others. By encouraging empathy, resilience, and a positive mindset, the Kestrel Minds Matter Club empowers students to create a school environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued.

  • The Kestrel Council is Kamiak Elementary’s student leadership team, made up of dedicated and enthusiastic students who work together to make a positive impact on our school community. Council members help plan school events, promote school spirit, and lead service projects that support others. By sharing ideas and working as a team, the Kestrel Council gives students a voice and encourages leadership, responsibility, and pride in being a Kestrel.

  • Kamiak’s Garden Club gives students the opportunity to get their hands dirty while learning about plants, sustainability, and the environment. Club members help care for the school garden by planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting, all while exploring the science behind how things grow. The Garden Club fosters teamwork, responsibility, and a love for nature—nurturing both the garden and the minds of our young Kestrels!

  • Kamiak’s Chess Club is a fun and engaging space where students of all skill levels can learn, play, and grow through the game of chess. Whether you're just starting out or already a seasoned player, the club offers a supportive environment to practice strategy, critical thinking, and good sportsmanship. With friendly matches and opportunities to challenge yourself, Chess Club helps students build confidence, patience, and a love for the game!
